Rare’s Executive Chef and co-owner Tyler Scott has a diverse background in the culinary industry. Born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Scott is a graduate of the Fleming College Culinary Management program and completed his apprenticeship under Chef Evan Podd at The Old Bridge Inn. His early career brought him to Oakville, Ontario where he worked at three restaurants run by the same independent owner on the downtown lakeshore. During this time Scott wrote his exams and became a certified Red Seal Chef.
