Making classic dips and sauces at home can be a life-enhancing experience. Using a little more of the ingredients you love and a little less of those you could do without delivers the control to make the ‘old standards’ your very own.
Jasmine Baker, foodie and event producer extraordinaire, is a massive fan of Ontario blue cheese, and wanted to share her treasured recipe for house made Blue Cheese Dip. Trust us, once you make this using the delicate, creamy Ontario blue cheese, you’ll never go back.
“I LOVE Blue Cheese dressing.” says Baker, ”I love it on wedge salads and as a veggie dip and I cannot eat wings without it. I have always enjoyed store-bought versions, but I think this homemade one is way better. I hope you will too!”
Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mustard powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise. Whisk by hand or using a hand mixer until fully combined.
Step 2
Fold in crumbled blue cheese, mix thoroughly and then refrigerate overnight.
Enjoy as a dip or salad dressing. Lasts in the fridge for 1 week.
