Made using 100% local products, The County Picnic aims to give guests the opportunity to experience the best the county has to offer! From makers like Fifth Town Artisan Cheese, Black River Cheese and Lighthall Vineyards, their grazing platters incorporate delicious local and seasonally appropriate ingredients, including artisanal cheeses, cured meats, dips, crackers and produce. All boxes are available for delivery within the county, but the best experience comes from the VIPicnics - a personalized picnic with you and your favourite company in the most beautiful places in PEC. Andrea and her crew will set up the perfect afternoon wherever you want, or even go the extra mile with a perfectly curated day tour hitting up the best local spots from vineyards to orchards to sights.

The Royal Hotel offers the bounty of their own Edwin County Farms, as well as from other local farmers and producers to create the freshest homegrown meals. Whether it be grab and go pastries and snacks from The Counter Bar, full course service in the dining room, an intimate meal in The Garden, or a cozy comfort bite at The Parlour, The Royal is committed to partnering with Ontario makers. Some house favourites include their handmade pizzas, made daily, any of their elevated creamy, cheesy pastas, or the array of goodies that comes on their cheese plates - all made with ingredients from local Ontario dairies.

With two locations in PEC, Slickers Country Ice Cream has been seasonally serving up some of the best handcrafted, small batch ice cream in the area for over 20 years! Using only 100% real Canadian cream, Slickers also sources all their crazy flavour additives from local producers as well. 

As one of the only two cheesemakers in the county, Fifth Town aims to combine traditional cheesemaking methods with artisanal craftsmanship to create contemporary tastes. Every drop of milk comes from local Ontario dairies to create the richest, most sustainable product possible. Their environmental and socially responsible practices extend well past their sourcing, as their entire processing plant is Canada’s only LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified dairy. 

The Agrarian Market is one of the best independent grocers in PEC. With fresh milk, ice cream and dairy products from Limestone Organic Creamery and Reid’s Dairy, the market also comes equipped with a wide selection of Ontario made cheeses from each end of the province, as well as a variety of Canadian made cheeses.
