In a saucepan, bring broth and cream to simmer over medium heat. Whisk in chili powder and add cheese. Stir until melted.
In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Slowly stir into cheese along with garlic and pepper.
While keeping it to a simmer, stir for 1 minute and then transfer to the centre of a round sourdough loaf
Serve with bread pieces, fruit and veggies to dip into.
