Step 1
Lay 4 slices of the bread on work surface and spread with fig jam. Divide brie among bread. Top with fig slices and basil. Top with remaining bread slices and spread top of bread with half of the butter.
Step 2
Place sandwich butter side down on greased grill over medium heat. Spread bread tops with remaining butter. Close lid and grill for about 3 minutes or until crisp and grilled marked.
Step 3
Turn over and grill for about 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is crisp. Let cool slightly before serving.
Prosciutto Variation:
Add 2 slices of prosciutto to each sandwich before closing to grill.
