It’s time to raise the stakes with these Japanese Garlic Sesame Cream Cheese Steak Wraps, bringing wraps to a whole new level. Using Ontario cream cheese, the infusion of garlic and sesame is the perfect match for grilled steak and fresh veggies, you may want to make extra to dip into! This recipe is quick and easy to make, and is the perfect meal to wrap up a long work week. These wraps go beautifully with a nice, cold craft beer from your nearest local brewery.
Step 1
In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, oil, ginger and garlic. Add steaks and turn to coat well. Let stand for at least 15 minutes or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
Step 2
Garlic Sesame Cream Cheese:
In a bowl, using a wooden spoon, beat together cream cheese, sesame seeds, soy sauce and garlic until smooth. Cover and set aside.
Step 3
Prepare grill to medium high heat and grill steaks for about 4 minutes per side or until medium rare. Remove to a platter. Let stand for 3 minutes before slicing. Stir together butter and cilantro and toss with sliced steak.
Step 4
Spread each of the tortillas with Garlic Sesame Cream cheese and top each with some of the steak, lettuce, carrot and cucumber.
